Yes .

Extended a side return on a Victorian place , roof of the extension is completely glass , 3 double glazed panes.
Gets the sun for a several hours and yes it gets hot !
I am planning on getting some blinds fitted, just for those few hours. Really don't notice heat loss in winter at all.

The additional light and wow factor is worth it
