It's a marketing ploy

Basically release two s**t kits, give it a few weeks for people to buy them, then release third and fourth kits which are much nicer thereby enticing people who bought the first lot to buy again.

Oh, and the nicer kits are only available if you've got a Special Kit Membership, available at ?50 from the Club Shop.
