The new home shirt...

my jury is out at the moment, but there is something bothering me: once the yellow box was decided upon, why wasn't it just continued round to the side seam, making two separate green boxes? The way it has been done makes it look like a main road with a cul-de-sac shooting off to the right, or a close up of a section of the Circle line. Why did they do this?
