If you build the argument on the back of pure numbers, it's easy for IDS/DWP/Tories to dismiss the argument as flawed and based on out-of-context figures.

You need the figures that show an actual increase in mortality rates - then it's a much more powerful argument.

(It's academic, but I haven't had to go through the system because my wife chooses not to and we muddle by on our own. I have no dog in the fight regarding the merits or otherwise of the system.)
