the fact they have a rich owner who wont invest decent money in the first team. They think its OK?
Its just bizarre.
So with no investment and a style of play that will get them to the playoffs "at best"
(their quality will see them beaten virtually every time against better teams over two legs)
They will be up against teams with PL quality and teams with foreign investors who are willing to spend decent money on players..... teams who play quality football.
The hoofball works against lesser teams as you rely on mistakes. The better teams/managers dont make as many mistakes as they know EXACTLY what you are going to do as you have no plan B
This is not a recipe for success/promotion.
The fans claim they will compete for the top 6 next season. I just dont see it unless they spend vast sums.
And TBF with Mick McCarthy I think he is doing a great job with what he has but he will constantly be falling short.
