Anyone here used mybuilder.com to find a tradesman for a one-off job?

I need some plastering doing, more than my rudimentary bodging skills will allow for, but not a massive job. Otherwise, any other recommended methods of finding a reliable trustworthy tradeface, that are better than ringing random numbers from the yellow pages?
