Safe standing

I'm fine with it if it somehow deals with the issue of removing standing from the rest of the ground, where people SIT.

I used to stand in the Barclay terrace as a kid and couldn't see a lot, a lot of the time. I now sit in the Aviva with my kids and it's fine most of the time until occasional casual fans stand a bit too often and my kids can't see (or sit a little slower than everyone else, because I acknowledge that people jump up at chances, corners, near misses, goals, etc. - fine with that) .

This was the same at Wembley, where half my block was ignoring the stewards whenever they were told to sit down - fortunately we were at the back of the lower tier, so the row behind us was effectively two rows above us, so we could stand without obscuring them, but it meant I HAD to stand to see, whereas I wanted to sit - my kids had to stand on their seats to see.

In summary - fine to have standing if people want to stand, but I'd want the ground to be much stricter on standing elsewhere in the ground because it really can spoil viewing for others, especially kids - and they pay for their tickets just as often as those who wants to stand.

Maybe that makes me sound like an (not the) old git, but so be it.
