The tide could well and truly turn now, this is huge for the safestanding campaign.

It would most likely be a like for like swap at the moment, people will obtain a seat in the normal way, but it will give people the choice that all standers desire.

If (WHEN) it happens in England, then depending on the sizing of the rows and the legislation that the government settle on, it could be possible to have it set at ratio of 1.7 standing fans to every 1 seated.

That could turn a seated lower Barclay of nearly 3000, into a standing area of over 5000.

There are other logistics that would need to be resolved with an increase in capacity such as the amount of loo's, concourse and exit sizes etc, but this brings the reality of standing so much closer to home.
