Obligatory Richard Hawley anecdote

My dad taught him history at Firth Park school in Sheffield.

Of course, said dad had forgotten this fact, and had no idea of Richard's musical success.

A few years back (circa Coles Corner) my dad was approached by said former Longpigs man in his local curry takeaway. Hawley ambled up to him and re-introduced himself. Dad said: "So, what have you been doing with yourself Richard?"

"Well, I've just been on Parkinson" was Mr Hawley's reply.

Since then, my dad keeps spitting Richard in Waitrose (yes, they have those in Sheffield), looking mostly well moody.

Also, the guy that taught me guitar was Hawley's mentor back in the day.
