Blatter

Firstly I encourage all of you (well those of you that are interested) to listen to the current World Football Phone-In podcast as Tim Vickery (South American football expert) and Mark Gleeson (African football expert).

As I stated last week, I am not a fan of Blatter but to dismiss his reign as a disaster for football is simply wrong. Whether the good things that have happened in his reign would have happened anyway is also up for debate but then again so are the negatives.

People may sneer and laugh at Africa and Blatter's relationship with them but it is understandable as to why it is so strong. Under Blatter's reign, African football has seen a huge improvement in infrastructure across the continent. Africa for a long time now has been f**ked over by the rest of the world despite providing the world with so much so when someone comes along and gives them something back, they are of course going to be loyal to them. Is it all clean and above board? No. Does corruption take place in other continents? Yes.

I am in favour of one vote per one FIFA member because the alternatives ideas are either based on population, something that can't be fairly measured or 19th century colonial attitudes.
