Hi All,
A bunch of guys that I play football with (being Thursday Night Football Club or "TNFC") have organised their 8th Annual Charity Football Match for this Saturday at Easton College, kicking off at 3pm.
As well as the "Galacticos" and "All Stars" facing off against each other for the trophy and another star on the shirt, we also raise money for a worthy cause.
The chosen charity this year is Cancer Research UK. Unfortunately, a number of the club's members' lives have been affected by The Big C in the recent past and continue to be affected in the present. I sincerely hope that the same isn't true of the majority of this board, but I fear that may not be the case.
Donations are primarily made up of "fines" against the players, which are dished out after the game in recognition of moments of brilliance, stupidity, hilarity and incompetence - all with equal abandon!
However, this year we have set up a justgiving page so that the wider world may be invited to donate to this very important cause too:

Anyone is welcome to come and watch the game, but if that's not possible (and I don't know what the weather forecast is for the weekend!) it would be great if a few of you would be able to reach into your Paypal wallet and make a donation.
Thanks very much,
Dog (Dom)
