The manager explains his philosophy

"Players like to know what they're supposed to do and what they're not supposed to do. They like someone to show them and to help them, and I think it's as simple as that. My job was to show them what was wanted and what wasn't wanted, and being all honest people this was what they wanted and we've had no problem.
"A player always wants to know what the manager wants, and if you know what he wants then you've got a chance. If you're not sure what he wants then you've got real problems."
