and made it out like Newell had rang the programme to complain about it

Newell had to ask Campbell exactly what he'd said cos it was just a passing comment from an aftermatch interview or summit

Newell said bungs are rife in every transfer he's done and he could have taken them

They attacked him asking him why hasn't he gone to the fa cos it's his duty to football. He gave a great answer saying he'd done his duty to football playing and earning an honest buck with nothing to hide

He said if approached he'd name all the people he knew who'd offered bungs at lower levels, but that he isn't stupid and he knows full well that everyone will deny it

The shame about the whole thing is, Newell will get a hefty fine for this because it will get covered up and he will be made to look like he made the whole thing up
