Helveg played most of his career at right back or central defence

The latter was his international position. I believe he had played central midfield early on his career, but I have no knowledge of him ever playing right midfield.

When he played at RB, he was far better than Edworthy given the limited number of games I saw. Before he got injured against Wet Sham in the cup, hadn't he played pretty well in central midfield alongside Safri? True, he had a bad first couple of games, but being regularly skinned by Giggs at Old Trafford is hardly unheard of ...

He got injured in his first game (I think) for Monchengladbach and so far as I know hasn't played since, although I haven't been paying attention.
