oh yeah, there's a tremendous finale of the first series which leaves the viewer thinking

"they're definitely going to ask each other out"

But you know the start of the second series will see one of them have an ex who comes back and wants to give it another go etc etc

I know you shouldn't analyse things, but after a while writers don't half bore the f**k out of you with the SAME story
