these big days out do generate a huge sense of 'togetherness' of the club 'family

The cross-country convoy, yellow and green everywhere etc. Even if you lose that feeling does stay with you longer than the result itself.
In a lot of ways the fantastic support we have had for the last 10 years or so can be traced directly back to that day at Cardiff, because a lot of those 'glory hunters' enjoyed the experience so much they became regular week-in-week-out supporters.
