they could have had the same process but stopped new membership applications at the time they announced the plans. feels like they've somewhat exploited the anxieties of the clubs own fans to raise a few more quid which is a bit disappointing. and in the end it will probably price a few folk out of an already expensive trip

also second chances for ST holders and members to buy another ticket ahead of others is daft. totally agree that those with away points (or even just a customer number/purchase history) should get the next chance at anything that is left
