A TRIP to Wembley is a reward for the loyal support of Norwich City?s fanbase, says the Canaries? Chief Executive David McNally.

One half of English football?s showpiece stadium will be a sea of yellow & green next Monday, with the Club expecting to comfortably sell-out their allocation of close to 39,000 tickets for the Sky Bet Championship play-off final against Middlesbrough.

Speaking to canaries.co.uk in the week leading up to the game, McNally commented: ?This is a huge occasion. For Delia and Michael, and for the supporters more than anybody else, we?re delighted that they?ve got a great day out at Wembley.

?In League One we had crowds of 25,000 ? they?ve backed this Club when this Club needed it most, so of all football clubs Norwich City supporters deserve their day.

Season-ticket holders and priority members were able to book their seat just a matter of hours after Saturday?s memorable semi-final triumph over Ipswich Town at Carrow Road thanks to the online ticketing system available via the Club?s official website.

McNally says take up was rapid and that the process has generally been a success, stating: ?We did lots of preparation last week. You have to put in the place the systems that are necessary to sell the tickets.

?We?re pleased with the ticket system. It?s one which Liverpool have used in the past, and they get good demand for their games when they?re playing in cup finals and the like.

?It worked really well on Saturday night. I know if you were one of those people who struggled to get onto the system for whatever reason, I accept that but I don?t think there was any way around it.

?This system is as good as any. It can deal with 600-700 people at any time online, which is a huge chunk of people. At one point, we had 7000 people waiting. We did 15,000 tickets on Saturday night in a couple of hours ? you can?t do that if the system doesn?t work, so clearly it does work.

?Equally, I accept that one or two people may have been frustrated that they had to wait a while to get on.?

On travel options for the day, McNally urged supporters to keep in touch with the Club through its official channels as the week progresses.

?We?ve sold out 120 coaches already, and we?re trying to get more coaches in to satisfy the demand. If we can get more, we will,? he said.

?We?re also talking to the rail companies on Tuesday about the latest information, because the planned strike could get in the way.

?We?ll just encourage supporters to check with us via the website and other platforms to have up-to-date information as the week goes on."
