engr came today and done f**k all really
had a big old friendly chat to an arrogant prick on the "helpdesk" *cough* in dundee who stated that the earliest a REIN engr could come out was 29 May. I then backbriefed him calmly on the saga and he started to trot out that REIN wasn't BTs fault and they had no obligation to fix. He then said, if I left it with him he'd try and bring the engr visit forward and ring me back later on. I told him to shift the conversation back into reverse and answer my original question about BT providing a dongle until the fault was rectified. He then got the hump and said I couldn't have a dongle and the Engr would not be out until the 29th as there was no way he could come any earlier.
*Bang* "can you repeat that please?" he repeated the engr wasn't coming out before the 29th. "so you lied to me then earlier when you said you would try to bring the appt forward?" "errrrm, I didn't say that Sir" "you did and I have recored it (i hadn't, he started the lying though), "can you but me through to your superior then please?" (always goes down well does that).
He put me on hold....
The senior escalations manager came on the line and I calmly backbriefed him. I've left it with him and he assures me he will call me back by 09:00 and he also left his personal mobile number.
The other geezer you spoke to had a chat to the engr that visited today and said he was still monitoring my line but, he hadn't informed me or BT!
I am dealing with a communications company that are incapable of communicating with each other. I've requested all the call transcripts from BT and I am going to take it all to the ombudsman. jewk.
