I don't get this

How can the club say that tickets are 'unlikely' to go to general sale when they know that a) know the exact allocation of tickets we have and b) exactly how many season ticket and priority members there are and c) that STs and PMs are 'guaranteed' a ticket if they order before 6pm Wednesday.

They can't say both that they don't know if tickets will be on general sale and that STs are guaranteed a ticket, surely?
