Yeah. The right wing bias of the press is definitely a problem for Labour

In my humble opinion Labour were too scared to lay the deficit at the door of the bankers, partly because they are connected to loads of them and partly because they were worried about appearing too left-wing. This let the myth that they were profligate gain a degree of purchase that it should not have.

Plus the idiot who left that infamous Treasury note about there being no money should be taken outside and shot. Talk about giving ammunition to your enemies. What a tool.
