Yes, the article is really about your point - ie, if you're an FA Youth Cup winner *for a big club*, you probably won't end up playing for that club. (Therefore it's a bit of a reality check for the Chelsea players who won it the other night.)

DoY may be right about the Norwich players, although a bit striking that only one of the Ipswich winning team in 2005 made it for them (Garvan). (And Supple might be a successful Gaelic football player, who knows...) .
