I get emails from a GoT blog which is written off one of those forums.

I forget the name. However, they have many writers, and all but one are awful - just as you say, grandstanding theorising and attention seeking. "No you must listen to me, I have a book of notes about A Dance Of Dragons thicker than the hardback first edition of the book itself. I am therefore right."

But the one writer I like is actually really good. Speculative and thoughtful.
