Play Off Stats... (means nothing though)

Since the current form of Play Offs was introduced in 1989, the team winning promotion thru the Play Offs as follows:

3rd - 9
4th - 5
5th - 7
6th - 5

I hope not but, maybe a team finishing 5th or 6th is due promotion?
