that can be just as easily infected as any other file.

Make sure your Norton AV files are up to date and, as SiH recommends, Google on Trojan.StartPage. Norton's (Symantec) web site will probably have more information as well.

Have you got Norton set up to run in the background? Checking your file system constantly and emails, etc.
