Just got caught a good un by autoglass ! phoned to change screen

on insurance with excess - chatting away to bloke about car general stuff and he slips in 'yeah most cars have marks on the glass when you buy them, did yours ' ? Didn't think says 'Yeah, a little chip on the screen' ! 'Sorry sir you are not covered by the insurance but we can supply one for ?100 more because you bought the car knowing the screen was damaged' . Lots of expletives and hung up. My fault but never been asked before and didn't dawn on me either. think he was surprised when I told him to poke it though.
