A calamitous goal conceded - we only have to look back to Derby to check that one. There's been a few tbh and much of that comes down to being decisive.
Unable to score in 80 minutes once a team goes ahead and parks the bus. Yep, Wigan was the same issue. That was the third irritating 1-0 loss I can recall this season due to lacking a cutting edge when the opponent sits back (Charlton earlier in the season was the other although their goal was late).
It just seemed to me that Boro wanted it more. They clearly spent the week creating a plan, and it worked for them. We were like rabbits in the headlights. We wanted our mums. Surely that comes down to belief and attitude?
I'd love a day at Wembley and hope we get there, but I still have this niggling doubt that we struggle when the pressure's on and teams plan on sitting back.
