A few, very random thoughts from last night.

I don?t get to many games now, so having been at this one it was great to be driving home with a smug grin on my face.
I agree with everyone else, we looked ponderous in the first half, but to be fair Leeds looked like they were playing for a 0-0 from the start. Thought when Dorrans Dorrans missed the pelanty, then blazed over a couple of minutes later, it wasn't going to be our night. What do I know? After AN's wee words at HT we sharpened up and deservedly took the points. Job done. Ruddy made a good save when he needed to, but we restricted Leeds to that one, long range, attempt on target over 90 mins.
I thought Jonny Howson?s goal ?non-celebration? was a little bit weird and awkward, but the Leeds fans seemed to appreciate it so fair-do?s. Actually I enjoyed Dorrans Dorran?s goal more; the shear relief of sealing the win and the full on celebration with the players and fans.
Hooper, for me, offers much more than just a goal threat. Had some nice touches when he came on and made us less predictable, something Redderz failed to do. I thought he had the ball in so much space at times but just couldn?t or wouldn?t use his pace to make the most of it. CamJam looked better with Hoops up there too.
Our fans were in good voice with some good, slightly slower than has become the norm lately, renditions of OTBC. Thought the ?Jonny Howson, he?s one of your own? was worth a chuckle too. I do wonder, though, why some bother to go all that way just to abuse the home fans. The drunk 3 rows behind me who swore at them for the whole 93 minutes, the fat kid with glasses in front of me who gave them the w@nker sign for 93 mins ( he?s obviously had plenty of practice to be able to keep that up!) couldn?t possibly have been watching the play. Still, their choice; at least they made the effort and they probably get to many more games than I can nowadays.
Must give a special mention here to the Great Unwashed One about 10 feet my right who literally, figuratively, subjectively and objectively, completely ?stunk the stand out?. Hope that?s no-one off from on here! I?m still gagging now, a good 12 hours later. Did anyone have to share a coach with him?
I get to Leeds quite often lately and I?m always impressed by the view of the main stand from the roundabout as you drive past. This is the first time I?ve been to the ground though, and as someone already mentioned last night, it really is pretty shabby and run down. Whereas we look like a Premier league club in all aspects, I think Leeds no longer does.
So all in all a great evening, although reading this back I come across as a miserable t**t. Nerves are already kicking in about Friday?s game but we will have mad, bad Brad back for that one.
Man hugs to AN. Too many words. OTBC.
