I can kind of see how at the end of a game a well deserved boo

for complete lack of effort might have a positive effect on the team/individual players. They might buck their ideas up for the next game.

But to pounce on an individual from early on in a game is f**king stupid in my opinion. All it seems to achieve is make them worse. They look drained of confidence and would rather blend in to the background than try something skillful in case they f**k it up.

This is exactly what I witnessed at the Preston game with Etuhu. He had a few moments where he could've ran at their defence. Instead he seemed to panic, turn around and pass it backwards. Could've been very different if he wasn't so conscious of the blatant and constant boos.

Also, does anyone else think Nowland's leg might not have been broken if Etuhu wasn't feeling so frustrated that day? Don't think the boo buys did Nowland many favours. Could Etuhu been taking out his anger on him by his reckless (but not necessarily intentional) challenge?
