Turns out, the Iceni village has closed, so scratch that.

Grimes Graves = train to Thetford then a bus, about an hour and a half I think so quite a way (but a good place)

Duxford is a couple of hours so even worse.

How about Sheringham, steam trains and all?

I have to say, boat on the broads might well be your best option. Good luck with whatever you go with.
