Fair enough, but even now at 56 I find discussing politics with friends never turns out

well. Unfortunately the majority of peoples' opinions are based on their own experiences of life, hearsay and sound bites so austerity is either good, bad, unavoidable or not really happening, leaving the next generation with our debts is deplorable or has been going on since the Crimean War, zero hours offer total flexibility for all or non paying employment handcuffs, immigration is great or threatens the British way of life we've enjoyed for generations, Cameron, Osborne, Clegg, Milliband, Balls and Farrage are talking sense or are pudenda. That's why I don't get involved.
