I think that many teachers do not have a broad perspective in life

Most go from school to teacher training then back into school. They never leave the education system and don't know what life is like outside.
This doesn't make them good or bad teachers, just gives them a narrow view.

PS My parents were both teachers, but had other jobs prior to teaching. I dropped out of teacher training as for this reason.
PPS A bit like career politicians
