He did control that race beautifully. I'm just saying there wasn't much between the two teams. I'm sure vettel only switched to a two stop strategy after the safety car came out. He took a gamble based on the fact that if it didn't pay off and he had to make a 3rd stop he'd still be third at worst, which is where they likely thought they'd end up anyway. It paid off and he drove beautifully and mercedes didn't have any answer to it.
I don't see it as some massive turning point at this stage. It's a step in the right direction, ferrari were competitive today and might well be for the rest of the season, but it's only one race.
We will see what the rest of the season holds!
