Re Ed, though

He's bright and he's good at policy, but any senior politician of any party can walk into any room an unconsciously dominate it. Even Brown - who was a million times better few-to-one than many-to-one - could do that. But Ed kind of sucks the energy out of a room. IDS, Hague, Howard - all were better several-to-one than Ed is (and I retain a soft spot for John Major who in my view was severely underrated as PM, despite his politics not being quite mine).
