I've got one of those. What I did was

Installed Firefox then chose add blocker from the add one. I then totally uninstalled IE and so far everything is hunky dory.

The worst thing is windows 8 but apparently I get a free upgrade to windows 10 in the summer. They say it's free but I bet there's a catch.
