Which goes through my mind when I allow it to drift if I'm on a flight alone is the story of the passengers if it went down. I've seen too many documentaries and movies I shouldn't have. If I look around and see a group from work or a team, a couple of happy go lucky families and a few irritable businessmen I can already see the writing on the wall almost ;)
I s**t myself whenever we fly with the teams I coach, and hated the one last year from Glasgow with teams Singapore and team Jamaica (and some of Anguilla, New Zealand and some others).
So so sad. And hits harder this time since I lost a colleague with his family in MH17. I can imagine how all their friends feel. I can't even think how their families must feel. I'm glad I booked a train to Germany at the weekend. Cue train disaster ;)
This one probably hit our group of human beings harder as it is the kind of flight we all take all the time which you don't worry so much about. Good weather, non politically sensitive route, economy airline with good safety record (if you're gonna blow up a plane economy airlines don't seem to be impressive enough). Over land and went wrong whilst cruising at the ceiling.
Anyway. I shall think of fluffy mushrooms before bedtime. Ha ha.
