i agree.

just that about 3-4 years ago when each episode was more about the 3 of them and their "comical" characteristics hilighted during a "race" loosely related to motoring purely as a "reason" to show case a buffoon, an annoying midget and a duffering old fart - more than the actual cars, it was on a slippery slope to becoming a farce.
