He basically said "the producer is a total tit, the first rule of telly is that the bigger the star the more fragile the ego, you HAVE to treat them like toddlers, you HAVE to feed them, it was entirely predictable that Clarkson would want hit food so your job to to make sure that it's there - bribe the chef to stay another hour, offer the staff free tickets to anything, whatever, just make sure it's done"

He was very amusing, recognised how crazy it was but accepted the reality
