few year ago

couple of christian aid workers, bloke and woman, tipped up at work looking to speak to the general manager of the company we were in a joint venture with. the feller had died a few weeks before so i was thinking about how best to break the news to them when the fellers replacement in the office off of the corridor shouts out "who is it mate?" "it's some people looking for roddy" i replied over my shoulder, thinking he'd come out and take over and i could get about my day. nope, he shouts out "well, i hope they've brought a f**king shovel".
