A realist would say it's fine though....

Wouldn't they? Because ultimately we will always win games and lose games, it's everyone being a dreamer and getting excited that leads to the disappointment. The only difference is how each person deals with it. Jim (and others) like to voice their disappointment, others like to try and draw out the positives.

A realist wouldn't be disappointed in the first place as they'd never have expected a win.
