It is normal in an expat situation especially. We nickname them mafias. We have the

Spanish mafia, the Serbian mafia, Portuguese, Greek, Chinese, French, Italian and I could go on. It is quite nice to be able to speak your own language when socialising occasionally ! I do it too at times with British friends.

Would be strange if it didn't happen
