Perhaps they didn't feel like setting the entire production team to the task of rescripting and replanning the whole thing, in under 24 hours, just because one colossal dick can't stop himself being a colossal dick.

TV isn't just pressing the red button on the cameras and letting the people in front talk. Doesn't seem right that you can so dramatically impact the production schedules and expect everyone else to just cope.
