Which appears intended not so much to break his opponents' leg as separate it from the rest of his body. And then HE immediately goes down, clutching his own knee to try and fool the ref.
Graeme Souness was a vicious, violent cheat, who took his thuggery into management too. Only in Britain do we think that violent challenges are somehow OK. The hypocrisy is quite unbelievable.
Thus are Souness, Alan elbows Shearer and Roy "I f**kin' hit him hard! Take that you c**t!" Keane all TV pundits: at least two of whom regularly sit there moralising about those awful foreign players and all those 'dirty tricks' they've brought into the game.
Souness' attempts last night to blame something that's been going on for decades, and has been done by English players plenty of times, on "South Americans and Latins" was racist. Casual racism is all the rage in TV pundits' coverage of football. Meanwhile, over on RTE, John Giles of Dirty Leeds described Jose Mourinho as "evil". That's the same John Giles whose team were as notorious a bunch of hatchet men as English football has ever known.
