Bit harsh

I think what he is saying is that in his day, the days of bremner, hunt etc there was less diving, cheating, complaining, surrounding the ref etc.....there were tough tackles challenges and players seldom complained. Globalisation of the game with much higher financial stakes have changed that. The pressure to win at all costs. The gulf of financial difference between top and bottom......

The game HAS changed with the influx of foreign players (some benefits to that but some drawbacks too - imo england underperforming because of the stifling effect of bringing young players through to the top level)

Seems a bit harsh to callhim racist because in his opinion foreign players have brought certain traites of their game to the uk. His 'crime' to me is not to balance that statement with the fact they have 'also brought skill flair and individualism'.
