Absof**kinglutely brilliant. Cast, script, everything. Bizarrely made me think of Peter Ackroyd's 'London', in the way it builds up a picture pointillistically - not a linear narrative, but piecing together seemingly random scenes so that an overall picture emerges. A minor masterpiece.
