the striker we sign to replace Ashton would need to be capable of scoring 20 goals a season at this level. I see we are again being linked with Andy Gray on the Pink Un site, this kind of speculation makes me shudder.

Rasiak could be prised away from Spurs i believe and he would make an ideal replacement for Ashton.

John Halls would make a great right back but he is currently out untill the end of Jan injured. He is out of contract at the end of the season.

As for a couple of creative midfielders? well, does Nigel like creative midfielders?
