Before the days of floppy disks

My dad brought home a huge concertina of printer paper (you know, the green and white striped stuff with perforated holes on the side). 3 year old me thought it was scrap paper to make paper aeroplanes from, but in fact it was a computer database that was to be scanned and uploaded to the mainframe the next day. Oops.
