Josie and Tom went for a walk

Josie was deaf and Tom couldn't talk
Josie took her dog, it's name was Rover
Tom only went to get his leg over

They trotted off down to the river
It was cold, they began to shiver
Rover ran off in leaps and bounds
Tom was making gurgling sounds

Josie asked Tom what was wrong
He pointed to a leather thong
Around his neck like a hangman's noose
Josie fumbled and pulled it loose

"Who set the trap?" they signed to each other
Maybe it was Josie's mother
She was into leather and tying knots
And she hated Tom lots and lots

They set off on they way back home
Randy Tom's hands began to roam
Josie kicked him, he had no charm
Tom fell over and broke his arm

Josie apologised sobbing and crying
As Tom was eaten by a passing lion
She made her way to the nearest phone
Down a short cut she had been shown

When she got there, the phone was broke
She sat on a rock and had a smoke
Her situation was messy, it was clear
Rover returned and licked her ear
She only had one

Rover showed her a bone he'd brought
'It's one of Tom's legs' Josie thought
She put the bone into her pocket
In the garden shed she would lock it

She sang to herself on the way home
The lion followed, its mouth afoam
He was hungry and wanted meat
Josie to be his next meal treat

The lion leapt, the lion pounced
All over the ground Josie bounced
The big cat's teeth sunk into her ear
Josie laughed, she had no fear
For before she left the house that afternoon, she had coated herself in lion poison
