Depressing for their tiny hardcore

The Wigan RL fans will love it if the Latics sink like a stone. They resent Whelan, even though he was also their Chairman for a bit, mainly because he's a football man. Without him the RL team would still be the biggest thing in town. One of the few places anywhere where League is traditionally top dog (see also Hull)
