Fellow Angry Lefties might like to check out Michael Sheen's Valleys Rebellion on the iPla

Superficially a short history of the Chartists' Rebellion, but really a modern day examination of the state of democracy in South Wales in particular, but the UK in general. A very good watch, especially if like me you know less about the Chartists than you ought to.

Even bringing it up on here could easily be good sport in the baiting of right-wing cocks. For a number of reasons:

* Your average vanilla righty can volubly dismiss it because of the presenter's undisguised leftyhood.

* Your anti-BBC righty can dismiss it becuase it's further damning evidence of the BBC misusing tax-payer money to promote a left-wing agenda.

* Your English-nationalist cock can sneer about feckless workshy Welsh scroungers, all on benefits and suckling on the teat of the state.

* Your party-political Tory can righteously moan about the presence of Neil Kinnock in an interview, he was on the front of the Sun in a lightbulb and It Was The Sun Wot Won It you know, so what does he know.

* Also, straddling a number of those categories, it mentions the miners' strike, and people remember bins not being emptied in the 70s you know, so it is obvious that the only sensible course of action was to utterly ruin entire communities for decades.

* Angry rightfaces can get thier teeth into the fact that the presenter also has a job as an actor, so y'know - luvvies. What can luvvies possibly know.
